Kindness and Christmas
Kindness and Christmas: Historical Anthropology and Theology of festive benevolence The connection between the celebration of Christmas and acts of kindness is not only a cultural cliché but also a complex historical-anthropological phenomenon with deep theological roots. Apostle Paul in the Epistle to the Philippians (2:6-8) describes Incarnation as an act of unimaginable generosity and humility: God taking on human nature in conditions of poverty and vulnerability (cave, manger).
